I am not exaggerating when I tell you that this will be the best chocolate chip cookie you will have ever put into your mouth. They are to die for, so if you are watching your weight, or sugar intake, I suggest only making these when you have somewhere to bring them, or company coming over. They are highly addictive. They are not a weight watchers recipe, they are purely decadent and a TREAT! I like to make them to reward myself when I've reached a weight loss goal.
Some of you might have seen similar cookies on Pinterest. They originated from an article that the New York Times printed. I made them as the recipe in the Times called for, but I have since changed it. I found the original recipe WAY to salty, and too sugary. I am currently working on a similar recipe for Oatmeal Raisin cookies.... so stay tuned.

The best chocolate chip cookies ever. I dare you to find a better recipe.... |
Ingredients
1 cup bread flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons coarse kosher salt
2 1/2 sticks (1 1/4 cups) unsalted butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract
5 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped into chunks
2 ounces white chocolate, chopped into chunks
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, grated
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (I used the mini ones)
1/4 cup of ground flax meal ( I always add a little more, and judge it based on consistency)
Sift flours, baking soda, baking powder and into a bowl. Stir in salt & set aside.
Using a mixer cream together the eggs, butter, vanilla and sugars until combined. On low, combine the flour mix...this will only take about 1 minute. Stir all chocolate into dough using a wooden spoon (or your hands). Press plastic wrap against dough and refrigerate for 24 hours.
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
