This is the most versatile icing recipe ever. You can add pretty much what ever flavor you wish to transform it. You love lemon? Add fresh lemon juice. You love coffee? Add warm coffee. You love chocolate? Add chocolate. You get the picture.
If you are making this to compliment my Whole Wheat and Flax seed Cinnamon Rolls, make the Vanilla Cream Cheese Icing, or Coffee Cream Cheese Icing. Both are delicious with the rolls.
Vanilla Cream Cheese Icing
2 tablespoons of light cream cheese
2 tablespoons of 2% milk
1 tablespoon of butter
1/2 cup of icing sugar
1 tablespoon of vanilla
Put all ingredients in a microwavable bowl. Nuke for 15 seconds. Remove and stir. Using an immersion hand blender or wand, blend until smooth. Poor over hot rolls!
